Are You Actually What You Portray Yourself To Be?

This might seem like something quite odd but most porn addicts seem to portray themselves to be much worst than they actually really are. Now if you happen to suffer from porn addiction or any other unwanted sexual behavior for that matter, you might be thinking that this is impossible. Fact is, most people in general tend to be much more negative when it comes to themselves and this is one of the reasons why most never manage to get out of their addiction.

You Own Voice Is The Most Powerful One

Have you already heard some of those motivational speeches that left you pumped and saying that this will be your last time and you will make it? When as much as it can be very powerful, nothing influences you more than your own voice, the one your constantly hearing 24/7 in your head. Even if you hear something that is very motivating, something that you would think is stronger that yours, at the end of the day, you will still be influenced by your own conscience simply because, by repeating what you think all day, it eventually gets to you.

You’re Harder On Yourself Than On Others

One thing own porn addicts and other suffering from related problems happen to do is keep blaming themselves and saying to themselves how bad are they and other negative talking/thinking. The end result is that you become depressed and hopeless. You basically become what you think.

Now you may not be that bad of a person actually. In fact, you might be someone who constantly give a hand to others or even if you feel bad about engaging in these sexual addictions, that alone shows that you do not want to remain with them. That alone is enough to show that you are willing to become better.

That being said, you might be complimenting others constantly but when you talk about yourself, you are extremely tough, which most of the time has a much stronger impact on your condition than you think. Just try for a second to talk out loud of what you think when your inner voice is talking about yourself. You’ll see that it is quite harsh.

Positive Brings Positive Changes

Have you ever heard of the example of the half-empty/half-full cup? well the same can be said about yourself. By being positive about yourself and constantly reminding to yourself that you are one step closer to stopping your pornography addiction believe it or not.

Having negative thougths about yourself is usually what keeps a person from progressing and becoming better. You don’t have to deal with this and you can do much better by remaining positive. Not to mention, pornography addiction as well as other unwanted sexual behaviors are simply a symptom of a much deeper issue.
