Teenage Porn Addict – Does This Make You A Monster?

Now obviously no one is safe against porn and people trying to stop watching porn comes from all walks of life. That being said, if you are a teen porn addict and you are finding yourself fighting with this and trying to stop watching porn, there is still something you could do about it. Now before we go there, I would just like to point out a few things that I couldn’t help to notice when reading some comments about teenage porn addicts.

You’re Not A Monster For Doing This

Now this does apply to pretty much all porn addicts but I noticed that the most people who beat themselves down a lot are teenagers. You don’t have to do this to yourself and in fact, this is one of the reasons you will remain with your addiction. Beating yourself  like dead horse doesn’t bring anything at all and keeps you from thinking positive.

It is quite normal to be feeling this way or be doing these things because your teenage years are usually where you really start learning about life in general. You might feel a bit confused about all of this but understand that you can get over and stop watching porn. Just don’t be too hard on yourself.

Why This All Started

Now just to make things clear, it is estimated that the average age for a teenage porn addict to watch porn for the first time is 11 years old. As such, you should be surprised if you got caught up into it. There are many reasons to why people fall into it but if I can narrow it down, it would be a combination of 3 things; curiosity, sexual mis-education and need to intimacy.

It is quite clear why the average age is so low and that’s because at that age, most are entering puberty and high school as well. We, as human beings, are eager to learn things that we do not know and unfortunately pornography isn’t the right way to learn about sexuality or sex as a whole. It gives a big mis-education and teaches most teenagers what sex isn’t rather than what it is.

Furthermore, combining those factors with all the emotions one can go thru during puberty, this can and will become and addiction. I couldn’t help but notice that for most addicts, it usually starts and those ages and it might look fun and tempting at first but eventually it becomes a nightmare that will follow them for the rest if not, most of their life.

Don’t Panic

This is still all reversible especially if you just started. Now you might not have the budget to start a program such as Candeo Healthy Sexuality but you can none the less follow the 12 step program for addictions. This is something that many addicts have managed to overcome, not just trying to stop watching porn. That being said, This is a very good start if you are a teenage porn addict trying to stop watching porn and do not have the budget to get professional help.
